The Truly Ergonomic Keyboard will be sturdily manufactured using high-quality gold-plated individual mechanical keyswitches (Cherry MX Brown, Blue, or Black) with your option of providing tactile feedback, and either having a light-click sound or nearly silent.
Mechanical-switch keyboards use an independent keyswitch mechanism for each key that registers when the key is pressed, have a full 4 mm travel, and are of higher quality than conventional keyboards preserving their excellent tactile feel through a constant life expectancy of over 50 million keystrokes, which compare to only 1 to 5 million keystrokes in a lifetime of a conventional keyboard.
The Truly Ergonomic Computer Keyboard will have Full N-key rollover if connected via PS/2 and 6-key rollover using USB plus modifiers (Ctrl, Alt, Shift). Only high-end keyboards have N-key rollover where each key is scanned completely independently by the keyboard hardware, so each keypress is correctly detected regardless of how many other keys are being pressed or held down at the same time. Very convenient for all typists and gamers.
Conventional and cheap keyboards - most of the keyboards currently in use - use membrane or scissor keyswitches with rubber domes that feel spongy, require extra force to use while providing almost no feedback, and greatly vary their sensitivity through their short life of less than 5 million keystrokes. As well, they do not isolate all keys and use a keyswitch matrix that assumes that only a limited number of keys will be held down at any given time, and usually achieve only 2-key rollover, which means that not all the combinations of 2 or more keys will be accepted, or that you could be missing some keystrokes when you type at a fast pace or play computer games.
Likewise, most removable palmrests are poorly attached, can break easily, and do not provide required support. The Truly Ergonomic Keyboard integrates a high-quality cushioned and removable palmrest firmly attached with screws for a strong build.
Small Footprint. The Truly Ergonomic Keyboard uses full-size keys, it has all the keys of equivalent keyboards, is truly ergonomic, and yet, it uses less area than conventional keyboards and way less than other ergonomic keyboards. This allows a mouse to be placed very close to the hands' neutral position, decreasing shoulder and neck strains, provides additional work space, and allows you to fit the keyboard and the mouse within most keyboard trays if required.
Furthermore, most people believe than being Green or Eco-friendly is only for the possibility for the product to be recyclable, but there is more to it. In addition of being manufactured using recycled and recyclable materials, as the Truly Ergonomic Keyboard will last 10 times more than conventional keyboards, this means that you will be using one keyboard instead of up to 10 or more in the same time frame, allowing you to save money and become Eco-Friendly by using a high-quality keyboard that will be with you for several years to come.
